Award recognizes the focus on innovation, integration, and patient

outcomes by leading digital companies.

Peoria, IL – June 13, 2013 – Endotronix announced that it was selected as a ‘Hot 5’ company at the Digital Health Forum in London, UK.  The company was selected from dozens of applicants based on its innovative technology and comprehensive approach to achieving improved patient outcomes.

The award was received during the Digital Health Forum in London, UK which was held 11th June at The Royal Society of Medicine.  This prestigious invitation-only meeting was attended by healthcare professionals, industry stakeholders, and patient organizations.  During a well-attended session, Endotronix presented its Care Management Solution to the audience.

“We are pleased to be recognized by the Digital Health Forum as a leader in the digital health sector,” said Harry Rowland, Endotronix Chief Executive Officer.  “It is great to receive this award, especially as we continue to build momentum and demonstrate the accuracy and effectiveness of our approach.”

The mission of the company, which was founded in 2007 by cardiothoracic surgeon Anthony Nunez, MD, and mechanical engineer Harry Rowland, PhD, is to develop solutions that improve the quality of life for the more than 20 million people worldwide with congestive heart failure (CHF). Both co-founders had family members who suffered from congestive heart failure, driving them to invent more effective ways to care for and improve the quality of life for CHF patients. This award recognizes the progress they are making in achieving their mission.

“Our Care Management Solution brings together several key components of effective patient management,” said Dan Kendall, Endotronix Vice President of Product Strategy.  “It starts with our implantable biosensor and extends to incorporate telehealth technology, analytics, and clinical support services.  This approach has been shown to improve patient outcomes, reduce the length and frequency of hospitalizations, and lower costs.”

The Digital Health Forum featured speakers and thought-leaders from patient organizations, healthcare companies, and investors.  Speakers from the US, UK, India, Russia, the Netherlands, and Switzerland shared ideas and perspectives on the changes, opportunities, and challenges facing healthcare globally.
